Awagami Demo Day for etch and digital print

Get to know Awagami Editioning papers on Monday, January 23rd. Information via info@agalab.nl or the special Facebook event page.

ETCH:
You can etch during the demo day on Awagami Editioning paper, and there is also a demo Chin colle on Awagami Editioning Paper. Take along your own fully prepared etching plate also bring the print you made yourself so you can compare the prints. Awagami provides paper with the size of 52 x 43 cm to use.

DIGITAL PRINT:
Print on “AIJP” digital Awagami Paper. Take your best digital file (minimum A3+ format, 240 dpi) on a USB stick and also take the prints which you already have made with you, so you can compare the prints. The size of the prints (A3+ or A2) depends on the amount of the participating artists.
For your chance of winning a large format digital print: send your best digital file (+/- A1) no later than January 16 to alex@agalab.nl (preferably via WeTransfer). AGA LAB decides the winner: may the best print win!

Free for all visitors: Awagami “AIJP” paper Awagami Editioning papers (2 sheets of ± A4 size paper of 10 = 20 sheets in total).

10:15 – Start video presentation with Q & A. (All Together).
11:00 – Start demos for etching and digital department. (Depending on your interest, you join etching or digital).
13:00 – End of the demo

Afternoon
13:30 – Welcome / reception
13:45 – Start video presentation with Q & A. (All Together).
14:30 – Start demos for etching and digital department. (Depending on your interest, you join etching or digital).
17:00 – End of the demo

This day is made possible by Awagami Factory. Since 300 years they make traditional Japanese washi paper for artists. It is a family business where eight generations have worked.
