AGA LAB in Amsterdam is looking for a Treasurer (Penningmeester) to join its board | Approx. 10 meetings per year (more during transition period) | Voluntary, unpaid position
AGA LAB is a collective workshop and laboratory for graphic techniques, where artists, designers, and makers come together to experiment, produce, and exchange knowledge. With a long-standing history in Amsterdam, AGA LAB functions as an open space for both emerging and established practitioners working across print, material, and image.
To strengthen our board, we are looking for an engaged and committed:
Treasurer (Board Member)
The Role
As Treasurer, you are part of the board and responsible for overseeing the financial health of the foundation. You review budgets and annual accounts and are in regular contact with the operational team.
Time commitment: approximately 10 meetings per year. Due to an ongoing transition period within AGA LAB, a slightly higher time investment may be required initially.
What will you do?
- Oversee the financial policy and long-term sustainability of AGA LAB
- Co-develop, review, and monitor budgets and annual financial reports
- Advise the board on financial decisions in relation to the organisation’s activities and ambitions
- Contribute to strategic planning and financial continuity
- Clearly communicate financial information within the board
Who are we looking for?
- You are comfortable working with numbers and interpreting financial documents
- You have an affinity with art, design, printmaking, or cultural organisations
- Experience with funding structures, subsidies, or cultural finance is a plus
- You are available for regular board meetings
- You are willing to contribute to a small but meaningful organisational structure
- We especially encourage applicants who bring new perspectives, backgrounds, or expertise to complement the current board.
