As you already may be aware of, AGA LAB unfortunately finds itself in a rough financial situation. It is in these difficult times that we have had to say goodbye to our beloved staff and workshop managers. AGA LAB as a knowledge centre will cease to exist and will become a Do-It-Yourself studio.
Over the past years, AGA LAB staff has supported and guided experienced and inexperienced artists, photographers, illustrators, and designers as a team in their process of creating new work. They have developed AGA LAB nationally and internationally into a place where everyone is welcome – regardless of their entry level – and have managed to take the work to a higher level.
As the board, we would like to express our gratitude to you. And thank you for the professionalism you have shown in this difficult past year full of uncertainties regarding the future of AGA LAB.
We wish you good luck and all the best on your new creative path, Alex de Vocht (Head of Classic & Digital Printing), Danijela Wolf (Office Manager), Eoin Carey (Head of Education) and Leonie Roos (Head of PR & Communications). Domynika Ruškevičiūtė (Screen Printing Technician) will be there until September and Robert Risteski (Head of the Artist in Residence Programme) until December.
We would also like to thank all the volunteers and interns who were here to assist, encourage, advise and do all the other essential things they did in the studio. And of course our final intern Camille Schuurman!
They love chocolate, cookies and pizza so feel free to bring these to Roos Van Dekamaweg 7, AGA LAB in the next few weeks.
