AIR exposition Tuesday, January 29th
Michael Dalcerro (US), Marcio Pontes (Br), Niek Peters (NL)
Location: Bouwput gallery (Ferdinand Huyckstraat 74, Broedplaats BOUW)
Time: 5-7 pm
Michael Dal Cerro will show his linoleum block relief prints of imaginary urban centers made at AGA LAB during his January 2019 residency. Using the ‘reduction cut method’ of printmaking Dal Cerro creates a ten colour print from one linoleum block. The work presented here was hand printed on AGA LAB’s classic industrial Havlik press.
Marcio Pontes is planning to use his work – digital, precise and geometric – and transfer it to a more hand made ink silk screening process. He wants to create from the same original artwork different variations of “unlimited/limited” ideas to create a series of prints.
Niek Peters happily explores the wonderful world of paper during his work period. He used pulp of used paper found in and around AGA LAB to turn this into new colourful artworks, inspired by the ‘Seventies Pop’ music coming from his headphones.
