Finale with a guided tour by ooooo and panel discussion with, among others, graphic designer Roosje Klap and art historian Sacha Bronwasser
AGA LAB, maker space for artists, exists 60 years and we’re celebrating this with an exhibition in the Allard Pierson: Cmd P for 2079, a futuristic journey through the world of print. It is about print in the year 2079. The international artists in the exhibition have created storylines around the role of print, speculating 60 years ahead. Artists: ooooo, Karin Ferrari (1982, IT / AT), Emre Hüner (1978, TR / NL), Åbäke (2000, UK).
Sunday the 19th of January is the finale of the exhibition. In a conversation that is led by Sacha Bronwasser, Roosje Klap and Marco Zwaan will continue the discussion about the meaning of print in 2079, in perspective of, for example, the unstoppable digitization of society and the progressive monopolisation of digital communication.
Sacha Bronwasser is a writer, speaker, art historian and curator. As an art journalist, she wrote for the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant for over 20 years. Her novel debut “Nothing is lied” was recently published. Bronwasser has been working as an editor since 2016 and hosts the Amsterdam live art talk show Stampa.
Roosje Klap is a graphic designer who constantly explores the boundaries of the professional field and wants to question this through her PhD research, among other things. Besides working in her studio ARK. Amsterdam, she is co-head of the Graphic Design (BA) and Non Linear Narrative (MA) departments at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts (KABK) in The Hague.
Marco Zwaan is director of Zwaan Printmedia (printing and digital content) and Lenoirschuring (studio and printing office for designers) and Zwaan Printmedia. Two companies that deal with the print medium in modern times.
