Sunday October the 30th already the third Knust & AGA LAB presentation takes place: the two newest mimeographed publications created by Knust / Extrapool, Work and Holiday (In)discernible (Ir)regularities, will be presented. In addition, various image makers who have printed at AGA Lab give a short lecture about their work. The afternoon will conclude with a special solo performance by Mary Ocher.
WORK HOLIDAY JOAKIM DRESCHER
During the Work Holiday residency, 24 until 30 October, Joakim Drescher will work with Knust on a new stencilled book. He studied fine arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, where he also was part of the tape label So Obsolete Records and part of the DIY publishing outfit Stalking Cat Editions with artist and illustrator Marie Boye Thomsen. Currently, he publishes himself his books in his studio and in print workshop KLD Repro.
(IN)DISCERNIBLE (IR)REGULARITIES
(In) discernible (Ir) regularities is a visual investigation of patterns as natural, theoretical and artistic phenomena. Ten designers and / or artists, engaged in designing patterns or using patterns in their work, contribute to this book: Rogier Arents, Koos Breen, Homa Delvaray Hansel van Halem, Judy Kors, Harmen Liemburg, Michiel Schuurman, Pinar & Viola, Wouter Venema, Bob Waardenburg.
MARY OCHER
Mary Ocher is a musician and artist from Berlin, known for her wondering performances and eccentric voice. Together with her band Your Government has she been seen in Extrapool on Friday 28th October. This Sunday afternoon, Mary Ocher gives exclusively in AGA LAB a solo performance.
